Bird Flu Victim's body cremated

DENPASAR, KOMPAS.com-two children in Bali who died of
bird flu was cremated on Tuesday (11/10/2011) this afternoon. Cremation
done at Crematorium Mumbul, Jimbaran, South Kuta, Bali.
Both victims,
Wayan Aldiawan (10) and Ani Negah Rica (5) died at General Hospital Center
Sanglah Denpasar on Sunday night. Both victims were treated at the hospital
since Friday (7 / 10). They come from the village of Jehem, District Tembuku,
Bangli regency, Bali.
"According to the procedure, the bodies must be
cremated," said Head Tembuku Sutari Ari AA Stars, Tuesday afternoon.
Previously, the Star said, the family asked for the bodies of victims to
be buried. However, according to the rules of the Hindu religion, this
week was not the time to bury the corpse.
With the advent of bird flu
cases, the Star asked people to be more careful when in contact with poultry. If
there is any sick or dead poultry sudden, people have to be quick to
report.
