وأضاف أن سبب ظهور تلك الحالات من مرض الحمي القلاعية هو قيام التاجر بشراء عجول غير محصنة وإدخالها إلي المزرعة للتربية, مشيرا إلي أن المديرية قامت بإجراءات العلاج والمتابعة اليومية لبعض الحالات التي ظهرت بالسنطة حتي استقرت الحالة تماما حتي توقف المرض ولا توجد الآن أي إصابات بالمرض بمنطقة السنطة والمناطق المحيطة بها مؤكدا أن الإدارة العامة للطب الوقائي بالمديرية قامت بتحصين الماشية بالسنطة في أول الشهر الحالي, فالمديرية تقوم بعملية تحصين الماشية بجميع المراكز كل ستة أشهر ليس فقط ضد الحمي القلاعية بل ضد كل من الأمراض ومن بينها حمي الوادي المتصدع!.
