Indonesia: Five Patient Suspect Bird Flu is still maintained

MAKASSAR - Five suspectedbird flu patients in Makassar, South Sulawesi, is still undergoing intensive care in a special isolation room bird flu infection centers Wahidin Sudirohusodo RSU. Patients are still awaiting lab results from Jakarta.

General and Operations Director RSU Wahidin Sudirohusodo Kalsum Patonangi Andi on Wednesday (2/22/2012), said the five patients experienced symptoms such as bird flu, including high fever for five days.

Related to this case, the municipal government of Makassar implement alert status of bird flu infection. Moreover, dozens of birds died suddenly at home of patients confirmed positive about bird flu.
